Blog Post #1 - Final Project Idea

 My original idea is out of the picture by now. I've been really struggling with the ideas that pop in my head. The fact that I'm so indecisive is a really big hardship. I already started filming my second idea, but I hated it. I usually come up with these "great" ideas then end up hating them. So after crying from having no idea what I'm going to do: I texted my sister. I asked her if she could be the main character in my movie, then she asked so many questions. Of course I ended up crying again because I was so lost on what I wanted to do. Finally, my sister agreed. I also asked a family friend if I can use their daughter, Bailey, to be in my film because she looks the most like my sister.

My final project is going to have a sad tone. It will be about growing up and growing out of your childhood. My main character, played by Hailey, and her younger self, played by Bailey.

The establishing shot will be of a child running through a field, playing with a dog, being a child. There will be a cut from her being a child to her being an adult. Then it will be her morning routine as an adult. This will consist of her getting water, showering, brushing teeth/hair, driving. My character Cora, played by Hailey and Bailey, is inspired by Fiona from Shameless. However, my film is not based completely of Shameless. It's similar in the ways of absent parents and Cora being independent like Fiona. 

 

Timeline:

12/14/20: started my blog

12/16/20: post my idea for my final project

December/January: Do more research and get more inspirations for exactly what my whole plan is. Get with Chloe and Sophia to go over what my plan is and start writing the script

End of January: finish script, maybe even start filming

beginning of Feb (updated)- change my project and update all my blog post

beginning of February: get with my actresses to start filming

end of February: wrap up filming and start post-production

starting in march: post-production

3/12/21: turn in final project
